Eyebrow Transplant in Tampa: Natural Brows, Hair by Hair

An eyebrow transplant at our Tampa clinic rebuilds your brows with your own hair: FUE, fine single follicles placed one by one at the nearly flat angle real brow hair grows. It brings living hair back to brows lost to over-plucking, scars, alopecia or faded microblading, with your own growing hair.

Four Reasons People Come to Us

Most brows we rebuild started in one of these four places. What matters is that the cause has stopped and that the nape has fine hair to spare.

Illustration of over-plucked eyebrows: very thin, with the tail almost gone

Over-plucking that never grew back

Years of tweezing can kill follicles for good. When the pencil does all the work, a transplant puts real hair back.

Illustration of faded microblading: blurred greyish pigment strokes with little real hair

Microblading you regret

Pigment fades, blurs and turns grey or orange, and it was never hair. We rebuild the brow with living strands over it.

Scars and accidents

Cuts, burns and surgeries leave hairless lines through the brow. Grafts placed into the scar close the gap.

Illustration of naturally thin, patchy eyebrows with uneven density

Thin by genetics or alopecia

Some brows never filled in; others thinned with alopecia, thyroid conditions or trichotillomania. Once the cause is stable, hair can come back.

Why the Angle Is Everything

Close-up of an eyebrow divided into three zones with golden arrows: upward at the head, outward along the arch, downward at the tail
The three direction zones every graft must obey
  • Brow hair lies nearly flat. It exits the skin at 1–15°, while scalp hair stands at 30–45°. Place a graft at scalp angle and it sticks out. This is where inexperienced work fails.
  • Direction changes across the brow: upward at the head, outward along the arch, gently downward at the tail. We map the three zones before a single graft goes in.
  • Singles only. Scalp grafts come in units of 1–3 hairs; for brows we isolate single follicles so no spot ever grows a double.
  • The shape is drawn first, designed for your bone structure and approved by you in the mirror before we begin. Design is our name and our method.

Transplant vs. the Alternatives

Coming from faded microblading? You are our most common eyebrow patient. The transplant goes right over it.

The Day of Your Surgery, Step by Step

No mystery, no surprises. This is exactly how your visit goes:

Patient sitting in the Hair Transplant Design waiting room, filling in clinic paperwork on a clipboard

First thing01

Welcome & paperwork

You arrive, complete the clinic documents, and we answer any last questions. No rush.

Patient in the treatment chair facing the mirror while her provider draws the new eyebrow shape with a fine pencil

Morning02

Design in the mirror

Your new brow shape is drawn on and measured to your face: head, arch and tail. Nothing starts until you approve it in the mirror.

Patient lying face down under a blanket while the team takes fine follicles from a small trimmed area at the nape

Mid-morning03

Donor extraction

Under local anesthesia we take fine follicles from the nape or behind your ear, the hairs closest to brow texture. The rest of your hair stays as it is. You feel pressure at most.

Break04

Pause & refreshment

Eyebrow sessions are the shortest we do. You stretch and have a snack while the team preps each single follicle under magnification.

Patient reclined with headphones while her provider places a single graft into her eyebrow with fine forceps

Afternoon05

Implantation, follicle by follicle

Each graft goes in at its zone’s angle and direction, nearly flat to the skin, following the map drawn in the morning.

Care instructions & your kit

We walk you through every aftercare step and hand you your kit with everything the first weeks need. Then you go home, same day.

So… does it hurt?

The honest answer: the anesthesia injections pinch for a few seconds. That is the most uncomfortable part. After that, light pressure at most. The brow area may feel tender the first night; the medication in your kit covers it.

Aftercare: Your First Two Weeks

  • Keep the brows dry for the first 3 days, then wash gently as we show you: no rubbing, no pressure on the grafts.
  • Sleep on your back, slightly elevated, the first week, so swelling drains away from the eyes.
  • Tiny crusts flake off in 5–7 days. Do not pick them. Each one sits on a graft.
  • No makeup on or around the brows for ~10 days, and no brow products until we clear them.
  • No gym for 10–14 days; sweat and blood pressure spikes are the enemies of fresh grafts.
  • Sunglasses are your friend outdoors: no direct sun on the brows for the first month.
  • We check on you. Follow-up visits are included for up to five years.

The one thing nobody tells you: trimming

Your new brow hair comes from your scalp, so at first it keeps scalp-length growth. From week 4–6, a quick trim every 10–14 days keeps it at perfect brow length, thirty seconds in the mirror. Over the first years many follicles adapt and slow down. It is the small price of brows made of real hair, and our patients call it a fair trade.

From Surgery to Settled Brows

Transplanted hairs shed between weeks 2 and 6, normal and expected, not a failure. The follicles stay anchored, and real growth builds from month 2–3.

Days 1–7Redness and tiny crusts; they flake off on their own
Weeks 2–6The shed: hairs fall, roots stay. Expected
Months 2–6New growth comes in; first trims begin
Month 12Full density, settled direction. Your result

Up to Five Years at Your Side

We do not do the eyebrow transplant and wave goodbye. Your procedure includes a follow-up program of up to five years: the same team follows your growth, adjusts what needs adjusting and answers the phone, from the first wash to the settled result.

Treatment room at Hair Transplant Design in Tampa where follow-up visits take place
  • Scheduled check-ins. We look at your result at each stage of growth, not only in the first weeks.
  • Photo tracking. The same angles, the same light, so progress is measured instead of guessed.
  • The hair around it. We watch the hair next to the eyebrow transplant too, and tell you what we see, even when the answer is that it needs nothing.
  • A number that answers. Any concern, at any point in the program, gets a real reply from the clinic.

The program is part of the price of every eyebrow transplant, whichever session size you need.

What Does It Cost?

Eyebrow work is priced as its own procedure, not by the graft like a scalp transplant: the follicles are finer, the angle is flatter and every one is placed by hand, so the session is slower and more demanding. The free consultation gives you your exact price in writing. Financing from $175/month.

Eyebrow Questions, Answered

Does it hurt?

The anesthesia pinch is the only real discomfort, and it lasts seconds. Through the procedure you feel light pressure at most. The brow area may be tender the first night. Your kit medication covers it.

How many grafts will I need?

At our clinic a full pair of brows is about 1,000 grafts: 500 per side. A partial fill, a scar or one thin tail needs fewer. Your exact count, and with it your price, comes free at the consultation.

Will they look natural?

Natural brows are about angle and direction, not just density. Every graft is a single follicle placed nearly flat to the skin, following the three direction zones of a real brow. That map is what separates natural results from transplants that “stick out.”

Do transplanted brows keep growing?

Yes. The hair is from your scalp, so it grows at scalp speed at first. A 30-second trim every 10–14 days keeps it at brow length, starting around week 4–6. Many follicles slow down over the first years.

I had microblading. Can I still get a transplant?

Yes, replacing faded or blurred microblading with real hair is our most common eyebrow case. The grafts go in over the old pigment, and as your real brows grow, the tattoo fades into the background.

How long until I look normal in public?

The tiny crusts clear in 5–7 days, and light redness fades over the following days. Most patients feel fine in public within a week; makeup near (not on) the brows can help sooner.

What about the shedding I read about?

Between weeks 2 and 6, most transplanted hairs shed. It looks like a step backward and it is completely normal. The follicles stay anchored, and new growth starts around months 2–3.

Where does the donor hair come from?

From the nape of the neck or just behind the ears, where hair is finest and closest to brow texture. Follicle-by-follicle extraction leaves no linear scar. The donor area looks untouched.

Do you do eyebrow transplants for men?

Yes. Men usually come for a scar, a thin patch or brows that thinned with age, and they want them fuller without looking shaped. The design is drawn flatter and straighter, with a less defined arch, so the result reads as a man’s brow.

How much does an eyebrow transplant cost?

Eyebrow work is priced as its own procedure, not per graft like a scalp transplant, because brow work is finer and slower: single follicles, a nearly flat angle, and every one placed by hand. The free consultation gives you your exact price in writing. Financing starts at $175 a month.
